Hands Down

Tired of the typical, cheesy, 'how I spent my summer vacation' pictures, Team26 dares to be different with a "hey....here'sawaterfallletsstandinfrontofitandholdZupsidedown" pic.

The Rolling Jumpers ?

The Rolling Trimmers are a multi-talented, acrobatic band of painting do-gooders. Jumping Rollers ? Trimming Jumpers ?

The Two Bettys

The two Bettys were so appreciative of the work completed by The Rolling Trimmers that they treated us to a pizza party (which sure beats Uncrustables).

No ladder ? No problem.

Speed painting without ladders. They just get in the way and slow things down, not to mention that they require you to remember all of those ladder rules you were taught on Sunday night.

Speed Painting !

This porch was painted in about 15 minutes with the team's patented speed painting techniques.

The Painting Machine

H.M. applying the finishing touches to the crack house porch.

Painting the crack house

Not only did we complete our work sites but Team 26 also helped out at other sites like this old crack house on Chestnut St. Two of these dilapidated houses were purchased by a local Catholic charity and will be be turned into low income housing with the help of CHWC-Lex 2007.

No Sonic's in Wisconsin ?

SONIC DAY !!!! Apparently by some bizarre corporate mistake there are no Sonic's in Wisconsin. The Rolling Trimmers decided early in the week that we were taking Matt to his first Sonic lunch. It was very good. Matt can now return to Wisconsin and tell everyone about that magical place known as Sonic.

Packing up !

Here's a shot of the coolest team at CHWC Lexington as we pack up the minivan for another day of service.

The Rolling Trimmers at rest

Another shot of Team 26 (aka, "The Rolling Trimmers") sitting on Betty number 1's front porch. Monday and Tuesday were dedicated to painting two rooms in this house. That only took place after a lot of caulking by Sib, taping by Lauren/Hannah/Katy/Matt & Zach, and trimming by the team. Matt was also busy painting kitchen and bathroom doors and fixing a hole in a door.

The Rolling Trimmers (aka, Team # 26)

This team of virtual strangers met in Lexington, KY, during the last week of June 2007 and decided to become painters and friends. They even got some paint on the walls and ceilings, and not just on themselves. They put their faith into action and helped out two elderly ladies (both named Betty) do something they could not do for themselves. It was pretty awesome !
